Check “The Devils Town” in south Serbia. The natural monument “Devil’s Town” is located in the south of Serbia, 27 km southeast of Kuršumlija and 89 km southwest of Niš. It is 288 km from Belgrade. Two unique natural phenomena, earthen figures and two sources of highly acidic water with high mineralization, comprise this natural monument, which is rare in the world.A legend:
Once upon a time, modest, peaceful inhabitants devoted to their faith lived here. The devil was disturbed by this, so he prepared “devil’s water” to help them forget about family relationships. After drinking that water, the stunned locals decided to marry the brother and sister.
A fairy attempted to thwart the devil’s plan, and legend has it that she continues to protect this area today. The villa failed to reason with the wedding party, and they set off with the newlyweds towards the church for the wedding. She then began to pray to God to somehow prevent the desecration of the family. God heard her request, joined the sky with the earth, blew a strong, cold wind, and petrified the wedding guests and the newlyweds.
Very interesting thank you I’ll check it out!
